Dhaka, Nov 25: Awami League general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the list of the party's candidates for 300 seats for the 12th National Parliament election will be announced by tomorrow (Sunday).

He said this while talking to journalists on contemporary issues at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's political office in Dhanmondi on Friday afternoon.

Obaidul Quader said, "Awami League will announce the final list of nominated candidates by Sunday. The names of candidates for 300 seats will be announced."

He said that the nomination of four categories has been finalized. I will be able to announce the final candidates for 300 seats by Sunday. Many new ones have arrived, some have also dropped out. We have not ruled out potential winners.

Quader said that some current members of parliament of Awami League are also dropping out in the election race. On the other hand, the young age is ahead, the one who is more acceptable to the people, that matter has been given the most priority or importance in the selection of candidates.

Informing that cricketer Shakib Al Hasan will do politics from now on, Qader said, "This has been told to the team. He can get nomination from any constituency in Bangladesh. Obaidul Quader said that the people are election-oriented, commenting on the success of the government, but having failed in politics, BNP has now chosen the path of destroying the economy. But the election cannot be rigged by attack. In response to a question, the general secretary of Awami League said that BNP will not come to the elections, it cannot be ruled out. Many from within the party may participate, even if they are not allied. They still have a chance to come to the polls."

Awami League organizing secretary Afzal Hossain, executive committee member Anwar Hossain and others were present at this time.
