Dhaka, July 27: Three organizations of the ruling Awami League - Jubo League, Swachhasebak League and Chhatra League - have decided to hold Thursday's rally one day later, on Friday. Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua gave this information on Wednesday night.

He said that tomorrow's rally has been postponed by a day to Friday as the old trade fair ground of Agargaon in the capital is not suitable for the rally. The three organizations of the ruling party did not get permission for the peace and development rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram despite holding a stage earlier. Later they wanted Dhaka University (DU) gymnasium ground. There was no approval either.

Later in the night a meeting was held at Dhanmondi 3/A and it was decided to hold a rally at the old trade fair grounds. Later the delegation went to visit the place. After the inspection, the delegation said that the ground is not suitable for gathering. For this reason, the rulers have decided to hold the rally one day later on Friday.

Meanwhile, the BNP has postponed the date of July 27 general meeting in Dhaka, keeping in view the resignation of the current government and the dissolution of parliament. The party has decided to postpone Thursday's general meeting program to next Friday (28 July). The party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced this decision in a press conference at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan on Wednesday night.
