Bail denied to girlfriend Bushra in Fardin murder case

Dhaka, November 16: Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) student Fardin Noor Parash's girlfriend, Amatullah Bushra, arrested in connection with the murder, has been denied bail by the court and ordered to be sent to prison. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ataullah gave this order on Wednesday (November 16).

After the remand of five days, the police produced Bushra in the court today. The investigating officer, DB Inspector Mojibur Rahman requested to keep him in jail until the investigation of the case is over. On the other hand, the accused's lawyer applied for bail. After the hearing, the court denied bail to the accused and ordered him to be sent to prison. CMM Court Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) Hemayet Uddin Khan Hiran informed the matter.

Earlier, Bushra was produced in court on November 10. After that Rampura Thana Police applied to take her on seven days remand for proper investigation of the case. After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan granted a 5-day remand. After being missing for three days, the naval police recovered the body of Fardin from Shitalakshya river in Narayanganj on the afternoon of November 7. After the post-mortem, the doctors said that numerous injuries were found on his body, and he was killed.

Fardin's father Noor Uddin Rana filed a case in Rampura police station two days after the body was recovered on November 10, accusing Fardin's girlfriend Amatullah Bushra, a student of East West University, and some others. Then Bushra was arrested.

In a press conference at DMP Media Center on November 12, Additional Police Commissioner of Intelligence Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid said that no clue has been found in Fardin's murder.
