Dhaka, Oct 19: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh always stands by Palestine.

She said this to the ambassador of Palestine when the ambassadors of 14 OIC countries met at Ganabhaban on Wednesday evening. The meeting started at Ganabhaban at 7 pm. Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Zahid Tushar confirmed this information.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed to send emergency medical care and medicine to thousands of people who were injured in the bomb attack on the hospital in Palestine. She gave this instruction by calling Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Wednesday afternoon.

Zahid Maleque said this in a discussion meeting on the occasion of Sheikh Russel Day at the Secretariat. The health minister requested the secretary of the health care department Jahangir Alam, who was present at the meeting, to take urgent action by taking the directives of the prime minister seriously.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reiterated her call to world leaders to stop war and arms race for the welfare of mankind and strongly condemned the killing of innocent people including women and children in the recent attack on a hospital in Gaza.
