Dhaka, July 25, 2021: 226 more people have died across the country in the last 24 hours due to the epidemic of coronavirus (Covid-19).

The death toll from the virus rose to 19,264. Besides, 11,291 new patients were identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected patients is 11 lakh 64 thousand 835 people.

On Sunday (July 25), Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department of Health, Prof. A press release signed by Nasima Sultana further said that 36,962 samples were collected and 37,057 samples were tested in 639 public and private laboratories at the same time. The total number of sample tests stood at 84 lakh 55 thousand 261.

The detection rate is 30.04 percent compared to the sample test. Compared to the total test, the detection rate is 15.62 percent.

Of the 226 dead, 125 were males and 103 females. Of these, 164 died in government hospitals, 40 in private hospitals and 14 at home.

10 thousand 584 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. The number of patients who recovered with this is 9 lakh 96 thousand 923 people. The recovery rate is 85.6 percent.

Of the 228 people killed in the last 24 hours in Corona, one was between the ages of zero and ten, two over ten, eight over twenty, thirty-two, thirty-four, thirty-four, forty-five, fifty, fifty-six, 60, seventy-three and over ninety. More than 2 people died.

Of the 228 people killed in Corona at the same time, 69 died in Dhaka division, 40 in Chittagong, 21 in Rajshahi, 50 in Khulna, 6 in Barisal, 11 in Sylhet, 16 in Rangpur and 15 in Mymensingh division.
