Bangladesh: Cox Bazar road mishap leaves seven people dead
Cox Bazaar: A covered van and a human haulier collided in Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar on Wednesday, leaving at least seven people killed, media reports said.
The mishap left two others injured.
The incident took place on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar Highway at Harbang area in Chakaria upazila on Wednesday evening, Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chakaria police station told Dhaka Tribune.
The identities of the people are not known.
Habibur Rahman said: "A Chittagong bound covered van collided head-on with a laguna on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar Highway injuring 9 passengers of the laguna."
The injured people were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
