Bangladesh Independence Day Bangladesh Independence Day: Pakistan PM Sharif greets counterpart Sheikh Hasina
Dhaka, 26 March 2023 : Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Bangladesh's Independence and National Day (March 26) on behalf of the government, people and himself.
The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka announced this information in a circular on Saturday.
In his congratulatory message, the Prime Minister of Pakistan said that Pakistan values relations with Bangladesh and is looking forward to further strengthen relations for mutual benefit of the people of the two countries.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan wished long life, good health and happiness of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and continued progress and prosperity of the fraternal Bangladeshi people.
Note that despite repeated demands, Pakistan has not officially apologized to Bangladesh for the 70-year-old massacre. On the other hand, Bangladesh is actively campaigning for international recognition of the 1971 genocide.
