Bangladesh looking to bolster ties with France during PM Hasina's state visit

Dhaka, October 30: During the Prime Minister's upcoming visit to Europe, Bangladesh wants to take bilateral relations with France to a higher level by formulating a post-Bexit outline. To that end, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to sign a number of MoUs and Letters of Intent with France on various issues during her state visit.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen made the remarks at a press conference at the Foreign Ministry on Saturday (October 30) to highlight the details of the Prime Minister's upcoming visit to Europe. The Prime Minister will visit Scotland, London and France from November 9 to 13.

Dr. Momen said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will participate in various bilateral issues and various UNESCO events during her visit to France. During the visit, a bilateral meeting of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh with the President and Prime Minister of France is being organized. A number of memoranda of understanding and letters of intent are expected to be signed during the meeting with the President of France.
