Dhaka, February 26, 2022: Planning Minister MA Mannan has said that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war will not have any immediate impact on Bangladesh.

"We will not suffer any major economic loss in this war," he said. He was speaking as the chief guest at a seminar on 'Prevention and Control of High Blood Pressure' at the Hasan Raja Auditorium of Sunamganj District Shilpakala Academy on Saturday (February 26).

"Our trade with Ukraine is not so bad that it will collapse," he said. In some cases, the export-import market with the western countries will go. These are not meant to be prevented. However, I do not see any immediate impact in this war.

Regarding Russia, the Minister said that Russia is one of our friendly countries. We have some business with them. Our biggest task at the moment with them is the Rooppur nuclear power project. They gave us loans. We are implementing that work with loans. That work has not been interrupted, hopefully not yet.

Sunamganj Heart Foundation President.
