Bangladesh: Over 1000 dengue patients admitted to hospital in a day

A record 1 thousand 34 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in 24 hours from Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am. With this, the number of dengue patients admitted to hospitals across the country stood at 3,492. 1 person died due to dengue. Earlier on October 22, 922 people were hospitalized due to dengue, which was the highest in a single day this year.

Sunday (October 23) in charge of Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health Dr. Md. This information was given in the dengue report signed by Zahidul Islam. According to the report, 589 people from Dhaka and 445 people from outside Dhaka out of 1 thousand 34 people admitted to the hospital due to dengue infection in 24 hours from Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am. With 1 thousand 34 new people, the total number of dengue patients admitted in various public and private hospitals of the country has reached 3 thousand 492 people.

According to the information of the Department of Health, from January 1 to October 23 this year, 31 thousand 63 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 27 thousand 458 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital. From Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am, 1 person died due to dengue in 24 hours. With this, a total of 113 people have died from dengue since January 1. On June 21 this year, the Department of Health reported the first death due to dengue in the country.
