Bangladesh registered one death due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, as per data released by official sources.

As a result, the total death toll has increased to 29,369. Meanwhile, 535 more people have been diagnosed with corona. With this, the total number of identified patients stands at 20 lakh 26 thousand 212.

On Sunday (October 2), the Department of Health's regular press release on Corona also said that 3,746 samples were collected in 24 hours from Saturday 8:00 am to Sunday 8:00 am. 3 thousand 727 samples were tested. The detection rate against the test is 14.35 percent. The total detection rate since the beginning of the epidemic is 13.61 percent.

Meanwhile, 476 people have recovered from Corona in a day in the country. So far 19 lakh 66 thousand 107 people have recovered. On March 8, 2020, the first case of coronavirus was detected in the country. After 10 days on March 18, the Department of Health reported the first death of a patient due to Corona.
