Bangladesh reports zero COVID deaths after 3 days

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 31: Bangladesh has reported zero Covid deaths after three days as no one died of coronavirus in the 24 hours from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths stands at 29,122. Earlier on Wednesday (March 30), two people had died of Corona, and on Tuesday (March 29) one Covid-19 related fatality was reported, while one person had died of the coronavirus on Monday (March 28).

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 73 new corona patients have been detected. With this, the number of detected Covid-19 patients in the country has reached 19 lakh 51 thousand 577. In the past 24 hours, the detection rate was 0.78 percent. The total detection rate since the outbreak of the pandemic is 14.12 percent.

This information was given in a regular press release on the country's Corona situation issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday (March 31).

Meanwhile, 884 people recovered from Corona in 24 hours from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday. So far 18 lakh 81 thousand 304 people have recovered from the Covid-19 in the country.

At the same time, 9,390 samples were collected and 9,370 samples were tested in the laboratories. Since the outbreak of Corona in the country, one crore 38 lakh 24 thousand seven samples have been tested till date.

On March 8, 2020, the first Covid patient was ditected in Bangladesh, while the country reports the first death due to coronavirus on March 18 in the same year.
