In such a situation, the country's currency is gradually weakening against the US dollar. Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves fell by $206 million to $9.7 billion in the week ending May 19 this year. On the other hand, Bangladesh has a foreign exchange reserve of around 30 billion dollars.

The Pakistani rupee is also weakening against the US dollar. Last Thursday (June 17) trading saw one dollar equal 287.43 Pakistani rupees. On the other hand, against the dollar, the rupee has a value of 108.16 taka. At the same time, the value of the Bangladeshi rupee is higher than the Pakistani rupee. One Bangladeshi Taka is now equal to 2.66 Pakistani Rupees.

According to Asian Development Bank data, Pakistan's GDP growth was 5.7 percent in 2021 and 6 percent in 2022. But according to the organization's forecast, Pakistan's GDP growth in 2023 will be 0.7 percent.

Meanwhile, the Asian Development Bank has mentioned that the economy of Bangladesh is doing relatively well despite the slowdown of the world economy.

According to their website, the growth of Bangladesh in 2021 was 6.9 percent. In 2022, it was 7.1 percent. In 2023 this rate may be 5.3 percent. In 2024, which may increase to 6.5 percent.
