Dhaka, October 17: Rainfall has decreased across the country since the effects of the depression in the Bay of Bengal subsided. In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was observed in four parts of the country. However, the amount of rainfall may increase in the next three days.

The Meteorological Department said this on Friday (October 16).

According to the forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am, the axis of monsoon winds will extend from India's Bihar to Assam through the central region of West Bengal and Bangladesh.

The extension of another light pressure extends to the North Bay of Bengal.

According to the meteorological office, the monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak in the North Bay of Bengal.

As a result, it may rain temporarily with gusts or thunderstorms in Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

The meteorological office also said that day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged at this time.
