Dhaka, Feb 7: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned Myanmar that no plane of the country's air force should enter the border of Bangladesh.

The matter was mentioned in the protest letter sent on Tuesday in the case of two people being killed by mortar shells coming from Myanmar into Bangladesh on Monday.

On Tuesday morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Myanmar Ambassador Aung Kyaw Moe. Director General of Myanmar Division Md. Mainul Kabir handed over the protest letter to him.

In a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Myanmar is urged to take action to stop any unacceptable activities that cause loss of life or damage to property in Bangladesh.

The ambassador was informed that Bangladesh would not accept any more displaced persons from Rakhine. The Myanmar Air Force has been conducting regular operations very close to the border and has been warned not to enter the Bangladesh border. In response, the Myanmar ambassador said that he would promptly inform his government of Bangladesh's concerns. Besides, he also mentioned the speedy return of Myanmar border guard policemen who fled to Bangladesh.
