Bangladeshi youth Imran marries Indonesian girlfriend after six years

Dhaka, March 2: After six long years of waiting, Indonesian girl Niki Ulfia is going to start a family with Md. Imran Hossain of Patuakhali Baufal.

She arrived at Shahjalal Airport in Bangladesh on a flight from Indonesia on Monday night. On Wednesday morning (March 1) she reached Patuakhali District Judicial Judge Court and completed the marriage with the help of a reputed lawyer.

On Wednesday, Imran married Niki with a dowry of 101 taka according to the standard of one dollar after completing the legal process through a lawyer in Patuakhali Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.

Maulana Shahidul Islam, the imam of the local mosque, performed the marriage of this couple around 8 pm. Their post-wedding reception has been organized today, Thursday (March 2).

Imran Hossain is the son of Delwar Hossain in Daspara Union of Baufal Upazila. Currently he is working in a private company in Dhaka. And Niki Ulfia is the daughter of Ulyanto, a resident of Jember, Surabaya province, Indonesia. Her mother's name is Sriani.

After completing the legal process in the court of the Senior Judicial Magistrate, they got married at home according to Islamic customs.

Imran Hossain said, "Niki came to Bangladesh on Monday night. Then on Wednesday morning we made an affidavit in the court of the Senior Judicial Magistrate and brought her home for marriage."

Niki Ulfia said, "I like Bangladesh very much. I am very happy for today. I will stay in Bangladesh for the rest of my life."

Meanwhile, Niki Ulfia had come to Baufal in 2017. At that time, Imran could not get married as he was not 21 years old. After that she had returned to the country.
