BGB BGB DG among 60 officers getting medals for bravery
Dhaka, December 19: Sixty members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) are receiving medals in four categories for 2022 in recognition of heroic or meritorious contributions. BGB Director General (DG) Major General Sakil Ahmed is among the medal recipients. He is receiving the medal in the 'Border Guard Bangladesh Medal (BGBM)' category.
Recently, a notification has been issued by the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs revealing the list of medal recipients. 10 personnel are getting Border Guard Bangladesh Medal (BGBM), 20 personnel are getting President Border Guard Medal (PBGM), 10 personnel are getting Border Guard Bangladesh Padak Seva (BGBMS) and 20 personnel are getting President Border Guard Padak Seva (PBGMS). Border Guard Bangladesh medalists will get Tk 1 lakh in cash and an additional Tk 1,500 with their monthly salaries.
Recipients of the President's Border Guard Medal will receive a one-time cash payment of Tk 75,000 and an additional Tk 1,000 with their monthly salaries. The recipients of Border Guard Bangladesh Padak service will get a one-time Tk 75,000 and an additional Tk 1,500 with their monthly salaries.
Recipients of the President's Border Guard Medal (Service) will receive a one-time cash payment of Tk 50,000 and an additional Tk 1,000 with their monthly salaries. Usually, this medal is presented on BGB Day (December 20) every year.
