BGB hands medals to 56 people for their heroic deeds

Dhaka, December 22: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) awarded medals to 56 people in recognition of bravery and meritorious work. At the same time, 119 brave freedom fighters and their successors who were awarded the title of BGB were felicitated, donated and given gifts.

On the occasion of 'Border Guard Bangladesh Day 2022' celebration, they were given this medal and felicitation on Wednesday (December 21). The program was organized after receiving a special darbar of BGB members at the border conference center in Pilkhana of the capital. This information was informed in a press release signed by BGB Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam.

It is said that a special darbar of BGB Director General was held on the occasion of Border Guard Bangladesh Day 2022 celebration. After the ceremony, 56 BGB members and civilian officers and employees were awarded Border Guard Bangladesh Medal (BGBM), Border Guard Bangladesh Service Medal (BGBMS), President Border Guard Medal (PBGM), President Border Guard Service Medal (PBG) for their bravery and meritorious work in BGB. MS) and the Border Guard Contribution Medal (BGOM) are awarded in five categories.

The notification also informed that 32 individual awards were given to the best company, BOP commander, best instructor, outstanding achievement in training in operational activities, anti-smuggling and drug seizure. At the same time, trophies were awarded to the four best battalions. After that 64 persons were given operational and administrative certificates (with insignia) of the Director General.

Four persons were promoted from Honorary Subedar Major to Honorary Assistant Director and four from Honorary Assistant Director to Honorary Deputy Director and wore their rank badges on the occasion. Apart from this, 119 brave freedom fighters and their successors who received the title of BGB were felicitated, donated and given gifts.
