Dhaka, November 19: The Bangladesh Men's Rights Foundation organized a rally and human chain in the capital demanding the suppression of male torture. These programs were celebrated on the occasion of International Men's Day on Thursday (November 19) at 11:30 am in front of the National Press Club.

Speaking on the occasion, the secretary general of the organization Farooq Shazed said that although there is a legal protection system for women in this country, there is no law for men. As a result, they are being subjected to physical and mental torture at home and abroad. In addition, men are being discriminated against in education, health and employment. Again, many times they have to be humiliated without trial or in false cases.

They also said that they could not raise the issue of torture and discrimination as there was no separate law and ministry for men. So we need to legislate immediately to stop male abuse.

Speakers from the human chain called for the Ministry of Violence against Men and the Ministry of Men's Affairs, the law to be amended and up-to-date to stop the abuse of women, the law to equate the extra dowry to the equivalent of dowry, punishment for both men and women for rape on marriage promises Claim.

President of the organization Sheikh Khairul Alam, Dhaka Metropolitan Member Secretary Majed Ibne Azad and Dhaka Metropolitan Joint Convener Liton Gazi were present at the time.

International Men's Day is being celebrated on November 19 in 70 countries of the world. Bangladesh Men's Rights Foundation has been celebrating the day for the last few years.
