BNP Politics BNP a common platform for anti-independence advocates: Obaidul Quader
Dhaka, October 7: Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP is a common platform fot those advocating communal evil and anti-independence. He said this during a briefing at his residence on Friday.
Obaidul Quader commented that BNP did not give blood for the country but they took people's blood and exploited it, saying that the country is not safe in the hands of BNP. In the name of liberating the people of the country, they are indulging in a conspiracy to wear chains.
He said, BNP has chained democracy in the past, chained the spirit of liberation war and the ideology of freedom. BNP has used the independence of the country for power.
Commenting that the hands of BNP are stained with the blood of thousands of Awami League leaders, Obaidul Quader said that BNP is now talking about democracy, whether they will save the country with the enemies of democracy and freedom.
"BNP has come up with an agenda to destroy the country, they have entered the field with all the defeated evil forces. But the patriotic people are united under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu. All the conspiracies of BNP and its allies will be thwarted by the spontaneous resistance of the people," he said.
Zilla Parishad elections will be held on October 17. General Secretary of Awami League sought the cooperation of all concerned to make the election fair and beautiful.
He directed the party MPs and activists to abide by the election code of conduct.
