BNP Politics BNP appointing lobbyists to defame government: Obaidul Quader
Dhaka, February 6: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the BNP has spent crores on lobbying and has started propaganda against the government. He called upon the BNP to do politics for the people by avoiding anti-politics.
Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his official residence on Friday afternoon.
Referring to the BNP's rally rally as a conspiracy to destroy the peaceful environment of the country, he said, "The Awami League will deal politically with any attempt to destroy the existing stable situation in the country in the name of political program."
Obaidul Quader said there was no situation in the country or there was no issue that the BNP had to agitate, adding that the Awami League welcomed any peaceful program. But if violence is created in the name of assembly, it will be suppressed with the strong hand of the people.
The BNP has forgotten the welfare of the country and the nation and has chosen the path of various propaganda and conspiracies as its political strategy. Obaidul Quader thinks that on the one hand they have invested in propaganda and on the other hand they are demanding explanation in the form of washed basil leaves. Addressing the BNP leaders, he said, "There is no chance of changing the government in a democratic system without elections, so leave the path of conspiracy and do politics for the welfare of the people."
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said the people would not be misled by Al Jazeera's false propaganda. The people are enjoying the benefits of Sheikh Hasina's development politics as opposed to propaganda.
Obaidul Quader said the BNP has now started a new conspiracy with its allies on foreign soil to question the clear and strict stance of Sheikh Hasina's government against irregularities. He further said that no one who commits misdeeds can be Sheikh Hasina's people. She has no indulgence.
Referring to the Bangabandhu family as a symbol of honesty in the last 50 years in the politics of the country, Obaidul Quader said, Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina has not involved herself in any syndicate.
