Collected BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury held a meeting with the German Ambassador. The organizing secretary of the party, Shama Obaid, was present at the time.

BNP conducts meeting with German ambassador

After the meeting, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said, "A gentleman has come from the German Foreign Ministry, the German ambassador came here to talk to us. We had a discussion."

He said, "However, it is better to keep the discussions of these bilateral private meetings to ourselves. There is not much opportunity to discuss them outside. These meetings are private meetings, bilateral meetings, we try to keep them to ourselves. This is good, this is the practice. All I can say is, There is no more to say beyond that."

Aamir Khosru said, "Victory or defeat is the decision of the people of Bangladesh. It is not the right of any political party to say that. When the people of Bangladesh get a chance to vote, victory or defeat will be in the hands of the people."

Addressing the Awami League, he said, "For those who do not understand, the duty of diplomats is to report to their headquarters on every aspect of the country's political-social, economic culture. This is their routine duty. This duty is not new, it has been happening since before. What happened today is because of that."
