Obaidul Quader BNP daydreaming about elections: Obaidul Quader
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Nov 14: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP is now daydreaming about the upcoming elections. Their dream will never come true. Their dreams will remain dreams. They will not succeed in the movement as well.
He said these in the speech of the chief guest at the triennial conference of Jhenaidah District Awami League on Sunday (November 13).
Obaidul Quader said, "Fakhrul sahab has started nomination business keeping his dreams aside. He is sitting with a sack for money, whoever will be nominated should take it with a bundle of money."
Referring to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, the Awami League General Secretary said, he has given a guarantee that he will not do politics again. Having said this, he fled to London. He has been jailed for seven years for money laundering. Tariq Rahman will be the leader if BNP comes to power. Want to get back the lost building. BNP is daydreaming about movement, which will never materialize.
Urging the leaders and activists to work for the welfare of the people, the minister said, "Leaders are seen in one way, but become different on billboards. The billboards I saw when I came to this conference, I have never seen so many billboards. The leader said to reduce costs, I came here and saw billboards and billboards. Reduce costs, work for the welfare of people. Stand by people."
Jhenaidah district Awami League triennial conference was held on Sunday. Awami League joint editor Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif inaugurated the conference at around 11:30 am.
The chief guest of the conference, Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader announced the abolition of the district committee at the beginning of the second phase. Later he announced the name of the current President Member of Parliament Abdul Hai as the President and the current General Secretary Saidul Karim Mintu as the General Secretary. Jhenaidah district Awami League conference was held after long seven years. The last conference was held on March 25, 2015.
