BNP goes to foreigners, not countrymen: Quader

Dhaka, February 2: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has termed BNP as a kneeling, fragile and dependent political party. He said they do not go to the countrymen, they go to foreigners and to foreign embassies.

Obaidul Quader advised the BNP leaders to go to the people of the country and said that foreigners will not put them in power, the people of this country will put them in power. Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his office in the Secretariat on Wednesday (February 2nd).

He said that although the BNP initially denied the appointment of a lobbyist against the country, now it is admitting that now an expatriate Bangladeshi is doing this.

Awami League general secretary asked the BNP leaders, who is this expatriate Bangladeshi? Why did not reveal his identity? BNP leaders have said that they have moral support for such activities and they express their solidarity in it. Obaidul Quader thinks that everything is clear from this.

Noting that the people are not confused by these tactical answers, Obaidul Quader said, "People know the real identity of BNP." Regarding the BNP secretary general's letter to the development partners, the general secretary of the Awami League said that he wrote the letter in their language to restore human rights and democracy. At least admitted to writing a letter!

Obaidul Quader once again asked the question, they talk about sovereignty, they talk about democracy, but can it be the job of a political party of an independent country to call on foreigners to establish democracy?

Obaidul Quader also claims that those who burn living people in petrol bombs, drive steamrollers to torture minorities, carry out irregularities and looting in the name of Hawa Bhaban are talking about human rights today - which makes people laugh when they hear it.
