Dhaka, September 28: General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that BNP deliberately provoked Awami League and police to clash with them. He said these things in the opening speech at the discussion meeting organized by Bangabandhu International Conference Center Awami League on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday on Wednesday (September 28).

Obaidul Quader said, "We are waiting and watching. In the name of the 22 party unity alliance, the BNP has entered the field with sticks in the name of the confused mixture movement. The news is that the police are attacking them, the Awami League is attacking them. But the heads of two Awami League workers were beheaded in Hazaribagh. In the hospital. Where, I didn't see this picture."

He said, "We are moving forward. We have given electricity, not poles. Those who have erected just poles are now jumping on the streets. They are the ones who talk big today. They are the ones who are sad today. BNP with broken back, BNP with broken knees is now on poles. This is me. I didn't say it, it was said by Dr. Zafarullah. The knee-jerk BNP is leaning on the pole."

Commenting on BNP bringing back Lathi Day, Awami League General Secretary said, "They have tied a stick to the national flag of Bangladesh. Again, they say, the stick will be longer. They give programs, hold rallies, hold mass meetings, but if they come to the streets with a stick attached to the national flag, But there is news ahead. I want to be clear, there is news ahead."

Obaidul Quader mentioned that they are protesting as much as they can, but the stick game will not continue. Playing with fire, fire terrorism will not continue. Awami League did not lease the road to anyone. Awami League is on the streets. People will be brought down if necessary.

He said, "Is there any example of BNP in this country, which will show and say vote for us. What is the example of BNP's work, what is the scenario of development? They jump in the name of movement today. They will occupy the streets, we will see. I am waiting."
