Dhaka, November 21: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner will decide the place of BNP rally in Dhaka on December 10. The minister said this in response to a question while talking to reporters in his office at the secretariat on Sunday.

The Home Minister said, "We think they are a political party, they will hold meetings according to everything. If they break the law, destroy property or arson, the security forces will do what they can."

Asked if the government would give permission if the BNP wanted to hold a rally in front of the party office, he said, "25 lakh people will gather in one place. We don't know where, why - we don't know. If 25 lakh people gather somewhere, you can understand what what will happen? We have asked the commissioner (DMP commissioner) to determine if there is such a big field somewhere in Dhaka and give an opportunity to hold a meeting there."

"If 100,000 people come to Dhaka, the city gets really jammed for at least all day long. Where will these 25 lakh people sit? Where will we provide space?" added the minister.

Leaders and activists are being caught with disappearance cases - When asked about such allegations of BNP, the Home Minister said, "I don't know what is called disappearance case. We know that when incidents happen, vandalism, killing of people, damage to public life, cases are filed against those who are caught. Of course, a case is filed because there is a complaint in a specific name."

Stating that a meeting was held with Indian Home Minister Amit Shah during the two-day conference in New Delhi, India, he said, "Many issues were discussed in our meeting. Among them, we told them that our country is now self-sufficient in cow production. So there is no need for you to send cows. Even if you send them, we will not take them. We dont manufacture drugs, on the contrary, we are the victim. We want your help there. Many times drugs enter our country through Mizoram. We requested to control this border. They agreed to it."

When the India's Home Minister spoke about the persecution of minorities, Kamal said, "We have said that the persecution of minorities is a long time ago. We do not hear of such incidents anymore. One or two incidents happen due to Facebook and social media. We are taking immediate action on these issues. So that no accident happens. Our security forces are taking immediate action in this regard."
