Dhaka, November 1: Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said the BNP's politics does not reflect the hopes and aspirations of the people as an opposition party. The party has no positive political program. He said this at a press briefing held at his residence on Sunday morning.

Obaidul Quader said the government wants a strong and responsible opposition party, but the BNP wants to create a storm through media and social media. Their movement is talkative and virtual. The people and the highways have no connection with these programs of the BNP.

Referring to the BNP's failure to learn from mistakes, the Awami League general secretary said, "The scale of Awami League's popularity is very heavy now as it has the honest courage to learn from mistakes." In the politics of power, people cannot think of BNP as an alternative to Awami League.

He said BNP leaders see anarchy everywhere, they do not see anything good in the country. The BNP sees in the soft light of the morning the darkness of the evening, they are so one-eyed that they have not seen a single good deed of the government for more than a decade.

In response to the statement of the BNP leaders, the general secretary of the Awami League said, "The situation of the BNP is now suffocating due to the negative politics." On the one hand, the failure of the election and the movement, on the other hand, the frustration of the activists and supporters, - all in all, there is a suffocating situation in the politics of the BNP.

He said reckless politics and bigoted and power-hungry leadership have put the BNP in a difficult time today.

The Minister for Road Transport and Bridges said the country is moving forward under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, positive change and prosperity has come in every sector of the country. In this situation, the people of the country want a change in the anti-politics of the BNP. He said if the BNP could not change itself, it would have to be thrown into the dustbin of history, their condition would be like that of the Muslim League.

The people of the country want change from the upbringing of the BNP's fanatical group, they want the BNP to be accountable to the people, said Obaidul Quader.
