On Tuesday, Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin approved the request to arrest Mirza Fakhrul. At the same time, he fixed Wednesday for further bail hearing.

After the hearing, the court fixed Wednesday for his further bail hearing.

On December 31, Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury's court fixed January 9 for the arrest and bail hearing in three cases of Fakhrul's Ramana and six of Paltan police stations. Eleven cases were registered against Mirza Fakhrul in connection with the clash of the party's leaders and activists with the police and the attack-vandalism-arson of various establishments around the BNP convention in Nayapaltan on October 28. Out of this there are eight cases in Paltan Police Station and three cases in Ramna Model Police Station.
