Autopsy BSMMU to carry out all types of autopsy
Dhaka, March 8: Department of Forensic Medicine has been started at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). As a result, from now on all types of autopsy can be done in BSMMU. BSMMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed inaugurated the department at Purano Betar Bhaban on Tuesday (March 8).
The renovation of the first batch of residential students of the forensic medicine department was held on the second floor of the Betar building on Tuesday. Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed addressed the function as the chief guest.
He said, "With the introduction of forensic medicine department in BSMMU, a dream of ours has come true. An autopsy will be conducted here from now on." He also hoped that the department would play an important role in ensuring higher education in forensic medicine.
He further said, "We will provide all kinds of assistance in the field of forensic medicine specialists and in the expansion of medical education in this field across the country."
