Dhaka, October 27: Reacting to the arrest of a lawmaker's son for the assault of a naval officer, Awami League Information and Research Secretary Salim Mahmud said that it has proved that bullying won't work in Sheikh Hasina's Bangladesh.

This is not a new phenomenon. Every step taken by the people's leader Sheikh Hasina is proving time and again that there is security of the citizens in this state. No one will be able to do any injustice to the citizens. Sheikh Hasina will not have any hooliganism in Bangladesh. He told reporters in the capital on Monday.

He said Sheikh Hasina has established the rule of law in this country against the system of impunity. She has proved that no one in Bangladesh is above the law.

He explained that the state needs to be tough in order to suppress the evil. Ever since the assassination of Bangabandhu, the murderous clique and their beneficiaries had established injustice in this country.

Selim Mahmud further said that no criminal was ever indulged during the rule of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. Rather, whoever committed the crime, regardless of party affiliation, has been brought to justice. The incident of Haji Salim's son is another clear message to all thugs that statesman Sheikh Hasina believes in the rule of law. There is no room for bullying in this state. The state apparatus is active against all hooliganism.
