CAAB CAAB asks to avoid airport road on April 28 night
Dhaka, April 27: It has been requested to avoid the road in front of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital has been requested to be avoided on Friday (April 28) night. Traffic will be limited on that road from 11:00 pm on that day to 6:00 am on Saturday (April 29).
On Wednesday (April 26), Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) said in a circular that for the construction of the runway in front of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, all types of traffic will be restricted for seven hours on the road ahead. Meanwhile, heavy and cargo vehicles have been requested to use alternative roads instead of going to the airport road.
Meanwhile, the Dhaka Elevated Expressway (Ural Road) project is progressing rapidly to alleviate the traffic congestion in the city. The main lane length of the four-lane elevated expressway is 19.73 km. Cars will run at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour in this project of the dream of the city dwellers. Jatrabari can be reached in just 15 to 20 minutes from the airport.
It can be seen on the ground that the work has progressed at the fastest pace up to the airport road-Banani flyover level crossing. The total length of this stage is 7.45 km. It can be said that the work of this part is almost at the end. In the first seven years of the project, the work progress was not even 10 percent. However, the project speed has increased again. The project gained momentum mainly due to its implementation by Thailand-based Ital-Thai and China's Sinohydro and CSI sharing shares.
Pier work from Airport to Banani is 100 percent complete. In addition, the progress of installing eye guards has also increased. The entire runway is pretty spectacular right now. The project work is progressing from airport to Banani railway, Banani and Mohakhali flyover.
Piling is going on somewhere in the project area, preparations are being made to install cross beams on the pier somewhere. Pier casting is going on. In the first part of the airport area, the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway is on one side and the railway line on the other side. Project work is going on in the middle. Surrounded by tin fence. Domestic and foreign workers-engineers are working inside.
