Dhaka, 24 November 2020: Rallies and demonstrations have taken place demanding the reinstatement of the Muktijoddha quota, including the election of the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad.

These programs were organized by the Central Committee of 'We are the children of freedom fighters' in front of the National Press Club on Monday (November 23).

At the time, the speakers said, ‘Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad is an organization created by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. After Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to power in 1996, the Muktijoddha Sangsad was elected and the elected leaders were working.

But after the change of power, when BNP-Jamaat came to power on 23 November 2001, Bangladesh Muktijoddha took over the parliament. The heroic freedom fighters and the children of the freedom fighters were expelled from the parliament. Since then, we have been observing this day as the Democracy Killing Day of the Muktijoddha Sangsad. '

They said, "Let the rights of the children of the freedom fighters be restored through elections." The children of our freedom fighters must work in unity. And we have to restore the constitutional quota right. '

General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam Nayan, Advisor Shafiqul Bahar Majumder Tipu, Organizing Secretary Shahinul Karim Babu and others spoke under the chairmanship of Humayun Kabir.

Leaders of Bangladesh Open University Student Unity Council were present at the occasion.
