Coaching centres across country to remain closed for a month from February 13

The decision was taken at the meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee, which was formed under the chairmanship of Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury to conduct the SSC and equivalent examinations in a fair, rumor-free and positive environment.

This decision was taken in the meeting held in the meeting room of the ministry on Sunday. Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department of Ministry of Education Soleiman Khan, Secretary of Technical and Madrasa Education Department Dr. Farid Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of all education boards of the country, representatives of various departments involved in law enforcement and examination activities were present in it.

All coaching centers will remain closed from February 13 till March 12 in order to conduct the examination in a fair, beautiful and rumour-free environment. No one else can use mobile phones or unauthorized electronic devices in examination centres except the Secretary. Union Secretary can use a normal (feature) phone which does not have features like camera or internet.

Action will be taken against unauthorized phone or electronic device users as per rules. Officers, teachers, employees engaged in receiving and transporting question papers from the Treasury police station cannot use any mobile phone and black glass microbus or any such vehicle cannot be used for carrying question papers.

An Executive Magistrate and a Tag Officer will be appointed for each centre. The Tag Officer will take out the questions from the treasury, police station custody along with the center secretary and take all the sets of questions to the center under police guard. The question set code will be announced 25 minutes before the start of the exam. Accordingly, the question paper packet will be opened as per the rules under the signature of the Central Secretary, Tag Officer and Police Officer.
