Cold wave in 22 districts, temperature to drop further

Dhaka, Jan 23: Temperatures has dropped by several degrees Celsius and cold wave has spread over wide areas of the country. On Monday (Jan 22), mild cold wave is flowing over 22 districts of the country. The night temperature has dropped by more than 2 degrees in Dhaka.

The Meteorological Department has said that the temperature will decrease and the winter will increase. The minimum night temperature may drop by up to 2 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. At the same time, the meteorologists said that it may rain in four divisions from Wednesday (Jan 24). In the morning, the minimum temperature of the country was 8.1 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur and Badalgashi. The minimum temperature of almost the entire Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions has fallen below 10 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Dhaka has decreased from 14.4 degrees Celsius to 12.1 degrees Celsius within a day. The minimum temperature in Dhaka this season has not fallen below this. The severity of winter is also in Dhaka.

As in different parts of the country, the dense fog has increased in Dhaka. From 11 am on Monday, the sun was visible from behind the dense fog in Dhaka. The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Monday said that the weather may remain dry with partly cloudy skies over the country. Moderate to dense fog is likely to fall over the country from midnight to morning and may continue till afternoon at some places. Dense fog may disrupt air traffic, inland waterways and road connectivity. During this time, the night temperature may decrease by 1-2 degrees Celsius and the day temperature may decrease slightly.
