Cold wave in three regions, winter is in full swing across the country

Dhaka, January 23: A mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangamati, Srimangal and Panchagarh areas and may continue. Apart from these three regions, the temperature has dropped across the country. With the exception of two regions, the minimum temperature in all parts of the country is below 13 degrees Celsius. As a result, if there is no cold wave in all the regions, the winter is in full swing across the country. The Meteorological Department said in a forecast on Saturday (January 23) morning.

Among the cold-prone areas, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9 degrees Celsius in Srimangal, 9.3 degrees Celsius in Tentulia and 10 degrees Celsius in Rangamati.

The forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 a.m. said that the weather across the country may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. Moderate to heavy fog may fall across the country from midnight to morning.

Night and day temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged. The night temperature may rise for the next three days in the next 24 hours.

The capital city is covered with cold wind and fog. The sun did not meet. The same situation is prevailing from dawn till 9 am. The temperature in Dhaka has also decreased. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature recorded in the capital today was 13.30 degrees Celsius.

The forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7am to 1pm on Saturday said the sky may be temporarily partly cloudy. The weather may remain dry. Moderate to heavy fog may fall in the morning.

North-west / north winds can blow at a speed of 5 to 10 kmph. The meteorological office also said that the daytime temperature may remain almost unchanged.

Meanwhile, the inland river port forecast of the country from 5 am to 1 pm today said that due to moderate to heavy fog in the inland river basin of the country from 5 am to 9-10 am, the visibility may decrease to 300 meters or somewhere less. River ports in these areas have been asked to move carefully. However, no warning signal should be shown.
