Kazi Ibrahim Detention Controversial Mufti Kazi Ibrahim detained
Dhaka, September 28: The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) has detained Mufti Kazi Ibrahim, who was criticized for making various statements during religious ceremonies. A DB team detained him from his house on Zakir Hossain Road in Lalmatia around 2:00 am on Tuesday (September 28). DB Chief Additional Commissioner AKM Hafiz Akter said Mufti Kazi Ibrahim was being detained and brought to the DB office for questioning.
According to a DB source, Mufti Ibrahim has given all the statements in his Waz which have been discussed and criticized for a long time. The speaker also said, "Women are growing beards because of the coronavirus vaccine, and men's voices are getting changed."
His statements are floating through social media including Facebook-YouTube. He is being interrogated in DB custody to check and sort out these issues. Earlier, on the news of the presence of DB police at the house, Mufti Ibrahim came on Facebook Live and complained that his house was surrounded by the agent of 'RAW', 'Gunda DB Police' (Rowdy DB Police). He spoke live for more than 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, Mufti Ibrahim has been taken into the custody of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) for questioning to find out why the people of Bangladesh are being called agents of Hindustan and RAW through various channels, said Mohammad Harun-ur-Rashid, Joint Commissioner of DB North. He said if he could not give a satisfactory statement during interrogation, a case would be filed and legal action would be taken against him.
At noon on Tuesday (September 28), DMP's Joint Commissioner for Cyber and Special Crimes and DB-North Mohammad Harun-ur-Rashid said Mufti Kazi Ibrahim had spread false information about coronavirus. Recently, his various statements about the coronavirus vaccine went viral. He has been talking on Facebook and YouTube.
‘Even last night on Facebook Live, he promoted the people of Bangladesh as agents of Hindustan brokers and RAW. He has at various times spread false information and religiously provocative statements about corona, which are being discussed and criticized. He has been taken into DB custody for questioning. If he fails to give a satisfactory statement during interrogation, legal action will be taken against him.
