Covid-19 kills 91 more in a day

Dhaka, April 20: Coronavirus has killed 91 more people across the country in the last 24 hours. Among them were 58 men and 33 women. Eighty-eight died at the hospital, two at home and one on the way to the hospital. The total death toll has risen to 10,588.

At the same time, 4,559 new coronavirus patients have been identified. So far, 8,27,780 people have been identified.

In a press release signed by Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department of Health, Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, on Tuesday (April 20), 27,056 samples were tested in 260 public and private laboratories in the last 24 hours. The detection rate in the sample test is 16.85 percent.

A total of 52,21,275 samples have been tested in the country so far. Compared to the total test, the detection rate is 13.94 percent.

At the same time, 6,811 people have recovered. With this, the number of patients who have recovered after being infected with coronavirus in the country is 6,28,111.

The recovery rate is 86.31 percent and death rate is 1.45 percent.

So far, 7,827 men and 2,761 women have died.
