COVID-19: Three more deaths reported in a day, detection rate at 1.91

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 10: Three people died of Covid-19 in 24 hours from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday. With this, the death count from the virus has reached 29,100 since the outbreak of the pandemic.

At the same time, 327 new cases of the virus have been identified. The total number of identified patients has reached 19 lakh 48 thousand 798. In contrast to the sample testing, the detection rate in 24 hours was 1.91 percent.

This information was given by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the regular press release of Corona situation on Thursday (March 10).

Earlier on Wednesday (March 9), the DGHS said one person had died and 323 new patients had been identified in 24 hours from 8 am on Tuesday to 8 am on Wednesday. In contrast to the sample testing, the daily detection rate was 1.97 percent.

According to the DGHS statement, 17,093 samples were collected and 17,103 samples were tested in 878 laboratories across the country in the last 24 hours. A total of one crore 36 lakh 387 samples have been tested in the country till date. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the detection rate has been at 14.33 percent in contrast to the sample testing.

Meanwhile, 2,479 people have recovered from Corona in the past 24 hours. With this, 18 lakh 55 thousand 249 people have recovered so far in the country.

Of the three men died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, two were from Dhaka division and one from Khulna division, and all of them died in government hospitals.
