Covid vaccination crosses 15.5-crore mark

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, January 25: A total of 11 lakh 19 thousand 638 people have been vaccinated against corona in 24 hours across the country including the capital. As of Monday (January 24), the corona vaccination has crossed 155 million doses. Among those vaccinated in 24 hours, six lakh 88 thousand five people took the first dose, three lakh 65 thousand 286 people took the second dose and 66 thousand 347 people took booster dose.

Among those who took the first dose three lakh 39 thousand 141 were male and three lakh 48 thousand 864 were female. Among those who took the second dose, one lakh 83 thousand 292 were men and one lakh 81 thousand 994 were women. Meanwhile, 42,997 men and 23,350 women took booster dose.

This information has been known from the sources of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

As of Monday (January 24), the total number of vaccinations stood at 15 crore 50 lakh two thousand 117 doses. Among them nine crore 47 lakh three thousand 296 people took the first dose and five crore 91 lakh eight thousand 539 people took the second dose, while 11 lakh 90 thousand 282 people have taken booster dose.

Besides, eight crore 58 lakh 47 thousand 594 people have so far registered to take corona vaccine in the country. Among them, eight crore 30 lakh 71 thousand 337 people have registered through national identity card, 13 lakh one thousand 767 people through passport and 14 lakh 74 thousand 490 people through birth registration card.
