Dengue Dengue: Five dead, 788 admitted to hospital on Saturday
Dhaka, November 5: The number of people affected by dengue fever is increasing in the country. Death is also increasing. Five people died of dengue fever in 24 hours from Friday morning to Saturday morning. Meanwhile, 788 new patients were admitted to the hospital. With this, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital has reached 3,737.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), in the last 24 hours, out of 788 people who were admitted to the hospital due to dengue, 374 are residents of Dhaka and 414 are outside Dhaka.
The DGHS said that from January 1 to November 5, a total of 42,199 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 38,295 people have recovered and have been discharge from the hospital.
With the five deaths, a total of 167 people have died of dengue. The first death due to dengue was reported on June 21 this year.
