Dengue Dengue kills one, 685 hospitalised across Bangladesh on Thursday
Dhaka, November 17: Another 685 people were admitted to the hospital in 24 hours from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday due to dengue fever. At the same time, one person died due to dengue. With this, the number of dengue deaths this year has increased to 217. And the number of dengue patients admitted in various hospitals across the country, including new cases, is 2,750.
According to a report on dengue, 353 residents of Dhaka and 332 outside Dhaka out of 685 people who were admitted to the hospital due to dengue from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), from January 1 to November 17 this year, 51,444 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 33,352 people are in Dhaka and 18,092 people are outside Dhaka.
Besides, 48,477 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital. Among them, 31,699 people from Dhaka, 16,778 people from outside Dhaka got discharged.
