Dhaka: 196 new Dengue cases registered

In the last 24 hours, a maximum of 196 dengue patients have been admitted to different hospitals across the country.

Earlier on Thursday (July 29), a maximum of 194 people were admitted.

This information was given in the regular dengue report of the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Health Department on Saturday (July 31) afternoon.

In the last 24 hours (July 30 from 8 am to July 31 at 8 am), 196 new patients have been admitted to the hospital. Of them, 194 were identified in Dhaka and 2 outside Dhaka.

At present the number of patients admitted in different government and private hospitals of the country stands at 6. Among them, 746 patients were admitted in 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka and 30 in other departments.

According to the report, the total number of patients admitted to different hospitals in the country from January 1 to Saturday stood at 2,656. 1,007 of them have been discharged from the hospital.

However, so far this year, data on four deaths from dengue has been sent to the Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) for review, according to the Department of Health.
