Dhaka, May 20: Six days have passed since the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, but the capital has not yet fully returned to normalcy. Those who went to the countryside with their relatives for Eid at the risk of coronavirus infection two-three days before Eid are slowly returning back to the capital.

However, compared to the last few days, the capital began to return to normalcy on Wednesday morning. The presence of people on the streets has increased. At the same time, the movement of various types of vehicles including public transport, microbuses, private cars, motorcycles, CNG-powered autorickshaws and rickshaws has increased. For several days, empty buses were seen standing at various bus stops for a long time, but no such scene was seen on Wednesday. Although the number of passengers was less, the buses were seen leaving the stoppage with two or four passengers.

Meanwhile, various small and big shopping malls and shops in the capital have started opening from Wednesday at the end of Eid week. There has been a lot of trading somewhere. Vendors say they basically opened the shop on Wednesday and cleaned it.

It has been seen that in different areas of the capital, the highways are becoming more crowded in the presence of people today than in the next five days of Eid.

People are going out of the house for different needs. However, despite the government's instructions and requests to remember various health rules, including wearing a face mask to prevent coronary infections, most people do not take it seriously. Many are not wearing masks. And those who are wearing it are not wearing it properly.
