Dhaka, November 27: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the government officials and employees to use their talents, knowledge, intellect and thoughts to serve the country.

She said, "We want to build the right staff to develop the country to keep pace with the world, so that people get justice, get administration services and get a chance to shape their own destiny."

She was speaking as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the 116th, 117th and 118th Law and Administration courses and distribution of certificates on Thursday (November 26). Sheikh Hasina participated in the program virtually through video conference from Ganobhaban.

Addressing the new officials of the administration, the Prime Minister said, "Do not look down on any people or despise them. People have to be respected as human beings."

The Prime Minister quoted Bangabandhu's speech to government employees at Suhrawardy Udyan on Independence Day on March 26, 1975, saying, "You work, this poor farmer pays you. That poor worker pays you. Your family lives on that money. I drive the car with that money. Speak with respect to them. They are the owners."

"Everyone has a contribution in building this society," she said. "Everyone has a contribution in building this country. You have to remember that. Moreover, special attention should be paid to ensure that everyone gets justice in the workplace. Because your responsibility is to serve the people."

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain presided over the function. Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Sheikh Yusuf Harun delivered the welcome speech. The results of the course were presented to the Prime Minister by the Rector of the Academy Badrun Nesha.

The five-month course, which started on January 5 this year, was delayed due to corona disruption and ended with online and hygienic student attendance. All 116 participants were successful. Of these, 70 are men and 46 are women. On behalf of the Prime Minister, the Minister of State for Public Administration handed over the Rector's Medal to the three students.

Addressing the certified officers, he said, "You have trained and achieved success even in these coronary conditions. Therefore, you must apply this acquired knowledge to the work of the country. Because, we want to build the country as a developed and prosperous country. That must be kept in mind."
