DPE instructs 100 percent teachers to be present in primary schools

Dhaka, August 24: Preparations have been started to make the educational institutions suitable for teaching. To this end, on Tuesday, the Directorate of Primary Education instructed all primary school teachers to be present in schools. On the other hand, the regional directors have been instructed from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (Mausi) to keep the secondary and higher secondary educational institutions open. At the same time, instructions have been given to keep the educational institutions clean and tidy by taking utmost care to prevent dengue.

The directives of the Directorate of Primary Education include 100 percent school inspection by Assistant Upazila / Thana Education Officers within a week, 100 percent verification and verification of distribution of worksheets, status of learning deficit and taking feedback, ensuring cleanliness in schools, ensuring regular attendance of teachers in schools, home verify visits, see if the student profile is 100 percent, determine what to do for the weaker students, go home to the students as a sample and check their contact registrar.

In addition, as part of the preparations for the opening of the educational institution, quick instructions have been given to fix the wash block of the primary school.

On the other hand, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has directed to complete the final preparations for the opening of secondary and higher secondary level educational institutions. Therefore, special instructions have been given to keep the educational institutions clean and tidy and to follow the orders of the government for the prevention of dengue.

Sources in the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission say that vaccination of teachers, officials and employees is at an almost final stage. Different universities have come under the vaccination program.

Sources said that more than 80 percent students of Dhaka University have come under the vaccine. That is why the government has taken the decision to open the educational institution. However, school-level decisions will not be made until the coronavirus infection rate drops below five percent. As such, school holidays are likely to be extended.
