Dhaka, September 25: At the beginning, it attracts the attention of the customers by publishing flashy and attractive advertisements online. Then collect money in advance with the promise of timely delivery of goods. Delay in delivery of goods after taking money. E-commerce, a promising sector of the country, is going on amidst such chaos and irregularities. A class of unscrupulous traders is silently duping customers.

Concerned people say that these organizations are not going to be brought under the law as there is no registration system. As a result, the chaos in the e-commerce sector is increasing day by day. The Ministry of Commerce has taken to the field to prevent this chaos. New rules are being introduced. The registration process is coming under the management of e-commerce company. Unique Business Identification Number will be given to the registered organization. Customers will be able to buy products from the right company by verifying this number.

The registration and unique business identification number process will create new dimensions in the e-commerce sector. Because customers can see that number and be sure that they are buying products from the right company. Again, those who are running the business will also work cautiously, as their information will be in the Ministry of Commerce.

In this regard, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Director General of WTO Cell Md. Hafizur Rahman said, "Registration is being arranged for running e-commerce businesses. Unique Business Identification Number will be provided. Customers will be able to inquire about the company through this number."

On September 16, Evaly's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Md. Rassel and his wife and Chairperson Shamima Nasrin were arrested.

"Several steps have been taken, including legislation on the e-commerce sector," he said. "As a result, the sector will be managed in a more orderly manner. This will easily bring the institutions under accountability."

Mohammad Sahab Uddin, vice-president of e-Cab and e-commerce entrepreneur, said, "This is a very good initiative. Those who do not have a trade license will also have the opportunity to register. As a result, the registration process will not be a problem for entrepreneurs. However, all kinds of information will be taken to verify the truth."

Arrangements are being made for registration to run e-commerce businesses. Unique Business Identification Number will be provided. Through this number, customers will be able to find out about the company.
