Dhaka, 13 February 2022: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed hope that the country's educational institutions will be reopened by the end of this month depending on the situation.

"Even though it's a little bad now, we hope the situation will change by the end of this month and at that time we will be able to open all the educational institutions, including schools and colleges," he said.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed this hope while unveiling the results of 2021 HSC and equivalent examinations at a function organized at Segunbagichar International Mother Tongue Institute in the capital via video conference from Ganobhaban on Sunday morning.

The Prime Minister reiterated her call on all to get vaccinated under the measures taken by her government to protect people from all walks of life.

Referring to the reluctance of many to get vaccinated, she said, "Immunization activities are continuing so that we can open educational institutions."

"Therefore, I would like to request those who have not been vaccinated so far - you will be vaccinated. Even if you get this vaccine later, it will not get worse," she said.

The Prime Minister said her government has been able to continue teaching students online and through television even as Corona has built a digital Bangladesh. However, our students have suffered the most during this coronation. He said that at present the families have become smaller and in many cases the students have to suffer from loneliness as they cannot go to the educational institutions.

The head of government said that his government had provided education online or on television but the students were deprived of the pure joy of education by going to school, college or university. "Anyway, we started the schools whenever we could get the taxes under control, but unfortunately, there was a new infection," he said.

The government started the activities of direct educational institutions from September 12, 2021. But in 2022, before the month of February, the death rate in Amicron variant has increased and the educational institutions have to be closed down.
