Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 26 January 2024: Law Minister Anisul Haque has said that efforts will be made to bring back all convicted convicts from abroad including BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

He said this in response to a question from journalists at Akhaura railway station in Brahmanbaria on Friday. He will attend various programs in the constituency today and tomorrow Saturday.

When asked about the letter of 12 US senators to the Prime Minister to stop the harassment of Nobel laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the minister said, "As far as I know from the documents of this case, the trial was conducted fairly in the court. I won't say more than that. Because whoever is sentenced in this case will surely appeal. So I don't want it to have any effect on the case.

At that time, party leaders and activists including Law Secretary Golam Sarwar, Akhaura Upazila Awami League President Md. Ali Chowdhury and General Secretary Takzil Khalifa were present.
