Eight die of dengue, 692 patients newly admitted on Tuesday

Dhaka, November 15: Another 692 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever in 24 hours from 8 am on Monday to 8 am on Tuesday. At the same time, eight people died due to dengue. With this, the number of dengue deaths this year has increased to 213, while the number of dengue patients admitted in different hospitals across the country, including new cases is 2,851 people.

This information was shared in the dengue report signed by Dr. Md. Zahidul Islam, in charge of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday (November 15).

It is said that 372 of the 692 people admitted to hospital with dengue from Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am are residents of Dhaka and 320 are outside Dhaka.

According to DGHS, from January 1 to November 15 this year, 49,992 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 32,535 people are in Dhaka and 17,457 people are outside Dhaka. Besides, 43,307 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital. Among them, 28,743 people from Dhaka, 14,564 people from outside Dhaka were discharged.
