Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 31 October 2023: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that elections will be held and will be held on time. The election will not stop at anyone's behest. She said that BNP-Jamaat must stop terrorist activities, otherwise they will have to face the consequences. The prime minister said this in response to a question raised by a journalist at a press conference at the official residence Ganabhaban on Tuesday afternoon.

Addressing the reporters, the head of government said, "BNP was doing political programs for a few days and you must have specially noticed our government but they did not stop them. There was a condition on them that they would not commit arson or vandalism."

She said, "When they (BNP) were doing political programs properly, they started to gain a little trust of the people. But the events that BNP did on the 28th, especially the way they killed the police, the way they killed the journalists, the way they assaulted journalists, after this incident, BNP will gain nothing but people's shame."

"Not only that, they attacked the hospital as well. They also attacked the police there. I don't see any difference between the BNP attack and the way Israel is attacking the hospital in Palestine, killing women and children."

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home on October 27 after attending the 'Global Gateway Forum' conference held in Brussels, Belgium, on October 25-26.

The head of government holds a press conference every time after the foreign tour. Finally, on October 6, she held a press conference to share his experience of attending the G20 summit and the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in India. After a gap of three weeks, the Prime Minister again came to the press conference.

Sheikh Hasina went to Belgium with her tour companions on October 24 to participate in the Global Gateway Forum. After arriving in Belgium, she joined the forum on October 25 and 26.
